
ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to inform you that in 2025 we continue our initiative – the RULE OF LAW ACADEMY for representatives of civil society. The Academy is organized within the framework of the project “Coordinated Civil Society Action to Promote Rule of Law for All”, implemented by the Public Foundation Legal Policy Research Centre (LPRC) and International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR), with financial support from the European Union.
When: October 22–24, 2025, in Almaty. The Academy will be held in an offline format.
Format: Offline. Daily sessions from 09:00 to 18:00 (Almaty time).
Conditions: Participation is free of charge. Training will be conducted in Russian. For participants coming from other regions, accommodation and travel to the venue will be covered by the organizers.
Who can participate?
- Leaders and lawyers of civil society organizations working in the fields of human rights, protection of the rights of children, women, youth, migrants, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups;
- Activists;
- Lawyers and attorneys who cooperate with civil society organizations on a regular basis and provide pro-bono legal assistance to vulnerable groups.
What knowledge and practical skills will participants gain?
The Rule of Law Academy aims to improve the legal literacy and strengthen the skills of civil society representatives in Kazakhstan. The program covers key aspects of the rule of law, an independent judiciary, criminal justice, administrative justice, documenting human rights violations, and strategic litigation.

- Fundamentals of the rule of law: Concept and components;
- Features of the judicial system;
- Administrative justice: Practical workshop on administrative proceedings;
- Documenting human rights violations: Technologies and methodologies;
- Applying to the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan: Criteria and practical workshop on challenging legal norms.
Please note that the number of places at the Academy is limited, and registration does not guarantee participation. Preference will be given to representatives of non-governmental organizations and lawyers with experience in the field of human rights, high motivation to learn, and clear plans for applying the acquired knowledge in their professional work.
