Members of the project office of “Implementation of a systematic, structured and effective policy for improving business integrity and developing corporate governance in Kazakhstan in accordance with OECD standards” project, implemented by Kazbar and LPRC, participated in the online Collective Action Workshop session on sustainability on July 23 (13:00-14:45 CET), organized by the Basel Institute of management, with the support of the Siemens Integrity Initiative.

Workshop was dedicated to the topic “How can Collective Action initiatives achieve sustainability?”.  The question of how Collective Actions can achieve sustainability is more relevant than ever considering the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and the effects on business – especially procurement and supply chains. This workshop session provided a platform for frank discussions on risks, opportunities, and hurdles to equip Collective Action practitioners in the development and implementation of sustainable Collective Action Initiatives through peer learning and best-practice sharing. The virtual events brought practitioners from around the world together to share experiences and innovations in Collective Action. Overall, 37 participants participated in the workshop, representing 22 initiatives from 22 different countries (Brazil, Bulgaria, Columbia, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Quebec, Turkey, etc.) in 4 continents.
